Darlene reflects upon her own life by borrowing a quote from "The Divine Comedy" which says: "Midway upon the journey of my life, I found myself in a dark wood where the right way was lost."
Choosing to leave the security of the corporate world behind, Darlene's lifelong passion for music inspired her to create a new reality.

Women of Substance Radio, Los Angeles, reports that tracks from Darlene's CD have earned spots in the TOP 25 for 3 consecutive years. Darlene was featured as "Artist of the Week" on WERU Radio, Bangor, Maine, and receives airplay on various stations nationally.
A self described optimist and sentimentalist, Darlene's songs are driven by heart-felt observations and life experiences. When she penned a song about her very first television appearance, a weekly FATV production titled "Barbara & You", it was immediately adopted and used as part of the show theme. Darlene is regularly sought out to write for weddings and other personal milestone celebrations.
Darlene's work has been compared to the likes of Emmylou Harris, Janis Ian and Bonnie Raitt. In addition to her original compositions, her repertoire consists of cover songs in folk, country, soft rock and blues spanning decades of popular music to current day.
Darlene performs regularly in restaurants, clubs, coffee houses, special events, retirement and healthcare communities throughout New England.
